Sometimes its uncomfortable starting a game when you are unsure as to what is expected of you. Here are a few tips on basic game play.
1) Play the character as if you were the character. Speech and actions are better when played as if they were truely how that character would act.
2) Be as descriptive as possible

(example) 1d20+7=15
4) When in combat post Initative first and then wait until GM posts order of actions. It goes smoother this way. Each GM will have slightly different game rules that will need to be followed. Ask GM what they are first.
5) Update charcter sheet often. If you loose HP, gain items or XP save it onto the character sheet for your character. I know I refer to my players character sheets quite often.
6) If you have any questions ASK THEM. The only stupid question is that which isn't asked.
